With over 25 years of experience with glass, Heritage Glass has a unique production process and product that is second to none.

Color:

Heritage Glass aggregates are vibrant, transparent colors that add to any design. Our aggregates are unique to our company and are colored completely through and not painted. Heritage Glass aggregate accomplishes dazzling effects not found with other aggregates like marble, metal, plastic chips, or crushed scrap glass.

Heritage Glass aggregates have a unique name system.

Color Designation:
Heritage Glass aggregate colors are designated by an alphabetic prefix, color name, and an intensity number. The prefix refers to forumulation. The numbers ranging from 1 to 9 indicate color intensity. The higher the number the darker the color. The prefix and numbers accompanying the color name are useful in specifying the precise color quality. For example a Co Blue 7: Co refers to the colorant, Blue refers to the general color, and 7 refers to the glass blocking 70% of the light coming through it. It should be noted that because glass is transparent color saturation decreases with size of aggregate, and colors will change in a colored matrix as the background color shows through the glass.

Silver Coated:
Heritage Glass has developed a new product that achieves a look not found in any other aggregate. We have taken our already sparkling colors and added a silver coating to them so that when ground in application the color reflects back in jewel like color with intense clarity. This effect can be put on almost all of our standard colors. This is a premium priced product.

Shape:
Heritage Glass aggregates are similar in shape and weight to marble and has a fractured glass surface and not a flat, parallel surface. This multi-dimentional shape ensures a secure hold in epoxy or cement.

Size:
Heritage Glass aggregates are sized to NTMA standards as follows:

#0: retained on 1/16" passes thru 1/8" (10-20 mesh)
#1: retained on 1/8" passes thru 1/4"
#2: retained on 1/4" passes thru 3/8"
#3: retained on 3/8" passes thru 1/2"
Plus sizes and mesh sizes available upon request.

Depth:
Heritage Glass aggregates achieves a wonderful depth enabling you to see into the floor.

Durability:
Heritage Glass aggregates are non-porous, and resistent to most acids. The hardness and abrasion resistance of glass aggregate exceeds that of many traditional materials used in terrazzo. Our glass may be used as the only aggregate in a specific installation or it may be combined with marble to give a particular color accent.

Recycled:
Heritage Glass aggregates are a minimum 98% to 100% recycled. Our product is perfect for any green building project. A certificate of recycled content is available for each color batch of glass at the time of shipment. Please request the certificate at placement of order.
